Nanotechnology In Medicine
April 17th, 2009
Nanotechnology is currently being used to help in the development of successful drug delivery system as well as in the conduct of nerve regeneration research. Principles from this field are applied to create “smart drugs” – the latest drug therapies that were discovered to cause fewer side effects to the patient. Medical researchers have also explored the possibility of using nanotechnology to detect, diagnose, and treat different forms of cancer, Parkinson’s disease, and other cardiovascular ailments.
